Tiger Woods and Testosterone Levels

For those interested in raising their testosterone levels naturally, the most interesting angle of the Tiger Woods saga is that we have a mid-30’s, married with children male with an exceptional libido. Most late 30s’s, married American men have already begun to wonder what has happened to their sexual interest and overall energy. At Elevate-T, we suspect that the difference between Tiger and these men is a difference in testosterone levels. Does Tiger have abnormally high testosterone levels? Probably not abnormal; however, Tiger may have high-normal testosterone levels while many other American males suffer from low-normal testosterone levels.

How Tiger Achieves High-Normal Testosterone Levels

While Tiger is probably not consciously trying to raise his testosterone levels, Tiger’s career and (umm lifestyle) probably has kept his testosterone at higher than average levels. First, one hour of sunlight is linked to remarkable increases in testosterone levels – Tiger often spends 4-6 hours in the sun during a round of professional golf. Studies have linked Vitamin D levels with testosterone levels and the best way to raise Vitamin D levels is exposure to sunlight. Of course, walking around the golf course for 6 hours is also great exercise and the Mayo Clinic calls exercise the #1 natural testosterone booster. Finally, one look at Tigers muscles tells you that Tiger spends his fair share of time in the weight room. Heavy weight lifting is considered one of the best exercises for raising your testosterone levels.
Although Tiger has publicly renounced his actions, sexual activity raises testosterone levels which then raises the desire for more sexual activity. We call this the positive sex-testosterone cycle. The problem with many American males is that they are in what we call the testosterone death cycle of less exercise and sex leads to lower testosterone which leads to even less sexual activity. For Tiger, his sexual activity no doubt raised his testosterone levels. For all men, sex (in fact even just having an erection) raises testosterone levels.

Testosterone Lessons for the Average Man

For our average readers, the lesson is that just because you are in your late 30’s, 40’s or 50’s that you don’t have to accept low testosterone levels. Furthermore, you don’t have to necessarily go the full medical route of testosterone injections or patches. Consider how Tiger Woods – called by some the ultimate Alpha male – keeps his testosterone levels at high-normal levels. At elevate-T, we unofficially call it Tiger Natural Testosterone Boosting. Get some sun. Get some exercise. Get some sex.
